EMERGENCY TRANSPORT

Should your precious pet need an emergency transport, contact Pet Chauffeur immediately. Our means of transport, receptacles, and their fittings are constructed, maintained and operated so as to avoid additional injury and unnecessary suffering and to ensure the safety of the animals during transport, loading and unloading.

An emergency transport consists of transporting your pet on a stretcher to the hospital, or just rushing with our pet ambulette. The following are conditions that fall in the emergency category:

1. Bleeding
2. Excessive vomiting
3. Zero mobility
4. Broken limbs

We hope this never happens, but if it does, remember – you are depending on the knowledge of the people responsible for your animal during transport. With Pet Chauffeur, your pet is in expert hands.

STANDARD SERVICES

We Provide:
• Pick up and delivery from or to your home, kennel, veterinarian, groomer, or anywhere locally.
• Pick up and delivery from Newark, JFK and LaGuardia airports.
• Airport Cargo Pick-Ups (with or without owner assistance)
• Emergency Transports (with stretchers, if needed).
• Safe, loving long-distance transport.

All pets travel in inspected vehicles (with extra cooling precautions taken over the summer months). The Humane Society of the United States advises the safest place for a traveling pet is either properly restrained in the back seat or cargo area or (in the case of cats and small dogs) placed in an appropriate pet carrier.
Your pet has their choice of:
• Clean, well-ventilated crates,
• Three-point doggie seat belts that allow the pet freedom of movement, or
• Safety harnesses that fit around the torso of the animal and are attached to safety belt clips.

EXOTICS: Is your pet unconventional?

The term "exotic pet" covers a tremendous variety of species. Exotics include small mammals such as chinchillas or ferrets, reptiles such as iguanas or lizards, turtles, amphibians (frogs), birds, or fish.

Exotic animals can be totally unpredictable in their actions and only experienced people should be around them. Proper handling of these animals is extremely important. For instance, rabbits have a lightweight skeleton and powerful back legs. If held improperly, they can kick swiftly and break their own backs. Iguanas can be very aggressive and they may lash their tails or bite if they feel threatened.

Due to the fact that many exotics bond closely to their owners, an exotic pet is a responsibility that lasts the life of the animal. Don't trust the transport of your exotic pet to just anyone. Pet Chauffeur specializes in the transport of exotics of all kinds.
